Mark Loeffen is an "interface man" who bridges the gaps between research, the development and commercialisation of technology, and business management.

Over the course of his career Mark has gained considerable skills and experience in a number of the primary industry sectors. His key achievements include:

  • Foundation CEO of Seafood Innovations - a seafood research consortium
  • 23 years at the internationally acclaimed Meat Industry Research Institute of New Zealand (MIRINZ). Roles included GM, BDM, Line Manager, and Researcher
  • 17 years in international consultancy
  • 14 years as a consultant to the New Zealand kiwifruit industry

Mark established his consultancy in 1999, and has consulted nationally and internationally, focussing mainly on corporate clients. Mark's company has undertaken a wide range of work encompassing the business, science and technology aspects of new product development. The breadth and depth of projects undertaken has been both varied and remarkable.

Mark has well developed interpersonal skills, is an adept leader, and easily co-ordinates the activities of people with diverse backgrounds and a wide range of expertise and skills. This shows in the success of the many projects his consultancy has undertaken.
